In the summer of 2015, the Turkish state's policy of violence and isolation took on a new form. At that time the east and southeast of Turkey, also called (Turkish) Kurdistan, was literally besieged by the
turkish army. The historic old town of Diyarbakır, Sur, was one of the districts under attack and cut off for 116 days. Despite the ban, a cameraman secretly
sneaked into the district and documented life under siege and the resistance of the insurgents.
Can his footages be seen now through another camera? Sur wants to tell its hidden history to the outside world. Will we be able to hear it?

Im Sommer 2015 hat die Gewalt- und Isolationspolitik des türkischen Staates eine neue Form angenommen. Damals wurde der Osten und Südosten der Türkei, auch (Türkisch-)Kurdistan genannt, vom Staat regelrecht belagert.
Die historische Altstadt von Diyarbakır, Sur, war einer der Stadtteile, die unter Beschuss standen. Während der Militäroperation, die 116 Tage dauerte, wurde das Gebiet verriegelt. Trotz diesem Verbot schlich sich ein Kameramann heimlich in den Stadtteil und dokumentierte das Leben unter Belagerung und den Wıderstand der Aufständischen.
Können seine Aufnahmen durch eine andere Kamera gesehen werden? Sur will nun der Außenwelt seine verborgene Geschichte erzählen. Ob es uns gelingt sie zu hören?

2015 yılı yazı, devlet tarafından organize edilen şiddet ve izolasyonun yeni biçimlerine sahne oldu. Türkiye’nin Doğu’su (Türkiye Kürdistanı) abluka altındaydı. Diyarbakır merkezinde bulunan tarihi Sur kenti de abluka altına alınan ilçelerden biriydi. 116 gün süren askeri operasyonlarda ilçeye giriş ve çıkışlar yasaklandı.
Tarihi surlarla çevirli kentin yakınlarında dahi çekim yapmak yasakken, bir kameraman gizlice çatışmaların yaşandığı şehre girdi ve 83 gün boyunca silahlı direnişçilerin ve sivillerin bulunduğu çatışma bölgesinde çekim yaptı.
Bu kayıtlar, başka bir kameranın gözüyle yeniden görülebilecek mi? Yıkılan, hafriyatı yıllar sonra bile bitirilemeyen bir kentin içeriden görülen hikayesi, saklandığı yerden çıkıp bizlerle buluşabilecek mi?
